Our first overseas trip with two kids. We were away for nearly 7 weeks with our 2 and turning 1 year old. We were very excited, as well as a bit apprehensive as to how it would go with such young kids. We had no need to be worried though, as it was awesome! We visited Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan and Singapore.
We loved KL last year
Our itinerary was:
March 2: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 4 nights
March 6: Ayutthaya, Thailand – 2 nights – temple time
March 8: Pattaya, Thailand – 5 nights – beach time and a 100000 cool kid activities
March 13: Bangkok, Thailand – 3 nights – whoo hoo love this city
March 16: KL airport hotel – 1 night
March 17: Boracay, Kalibo, Roxas City and Iloilo, Philippines – 11 nights – arguably most beautiful beach in Asia, Isaac’s birthday and some further exploration of Philippines
March 28: Manila, Philippines – 2 nights – Holy Week
March 30: Taipei, Taiwan – 5 nights
April 4: Danshui, Taiwan – 2 nights
April 6: Singapore – 3 nights

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a week since we got back. It already feels like the trip was ages ago. We are not really back to “normal life” yet, as J is at home full time...
We ended up going to 5 countries and stayed in 14 different towns/cities… omg!! When I read that, I am quite impressed that we did all that with a toddler and a baby. However, the reality is that...
I had been worried about the 8 hour flight home with our 1 and 2 year olds but it was fine. I was a little bit worried, because I thought travelling in the day would be more difficult than the overnight...
Malaysia has been awesome!! I have been surprised how awesome, actually, as I have been to Malaysia many times in the past and have been ambivalent about it, and preferred the surrounding countries. ...
